About the Department
Department of sport psychology was established in the year 2012 to provide quality education in the field of sport psychology. The department has got dedicated team of highly qualified competent teachers to provide the teaching and research in the area of sport psychology. The department is having sufficient infrastructure for class rooms and laboratory including smart class rooms & departmental library. The laboratory of the department is full of modern scientific world class equipments for the purpose of advance research in the field of sport psychology. Presently the department is running the post graduate course “Master in Physical Education” of four semesters and Ph.D. in physical education as per institute’s ordinance/UGC Regulations.
The Department of sport psychology is also committed to excellence in teaching, research and community services by providing quality education and congenial environment to staff, scholars and students.

MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT
Dr. Bharat Verma
Department of sport psychology of LNIPE, Gwalior was established in the year 2012 and the major objective of this department is to provide quality education in the field of sport psychology with the help of modern educational technology. The department is having beautiful infrastructure consist of class rooms/smart class rooms, laboratory with adequate modern psychological equipments and tools and departmental library. The laboratory of the department is good enough for advance research in the field of sport psychology. The department is also having sufficient number of qualified teachers. Presently the department is having “Master in Physical Education” of four semesters and Ph.D. in physical education. All the courses are as per the NCTE rule or Ph.D. ordinance of the institute/UGC.
The Department of sport psychology is also committed to excellence in teaching, research and community services by providing quality education and congenial environment to staff, scholars and students. The significant aim of the department is to prepare the student and scholars in a manner, so that they can be built competent and versatile in dealing with future demands of the society for the enhancement of the sport performance, general wellbeing of the population and to leave a successful life.
Every year many students of the department qualify NET/JRF Examination conducted from time to time by UGC/SLECT. Most of the alumni of the department gets good placement in government/private sectors in officer grade and teacher as well. Presently also many students of this department is working in varied university of India on the post of Sports Officer/ Assistant Professor and other allied areas.
