Academic Council
The Academic Council is the highest academic body of Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE). It is responsible for shaping and maintaining the academic standards of the Institute, including curriculum development, academic regulations, research policies, and evaluation systems in alignment with national education frameworks.

- Deans of various Schools / Faculties
- Heads of Academic Departments
- Senior Professors nominated by the Vice Chancellor
- Two external academic experts nominated by the Board of Management
- One nominee of the University Grants Commission (UGC)
- Controller of Examinations

Powers & Functions
- Design, revise and approve academic curricula and syllabi.
- Frame academic regulations, ordinances, and examination policies.
- Recommend introduction of new academic programs and courses.
- Monitor standards of teaching, research, and evaluation.
- Approve academic calendar and examination schedules.
- Promote interdisciplinary research and innovation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with UGC, NCTE and other statutory academic norms.
Meetings
The Academic Council meets at regular intervals to deliberate on academic reforms, curriculum updates, examination matters, and institutional academic development. Its recommendations are forwarded to the Board of Management for approval and implementation.
